GetReady Challenge!!

The GetReady Challenge can become a way for us active and semi-active people to stay motivated and help keep each other motivated to keep moving and pushing to become healthier and feel better about ourselves. This is not a competition, or anything related to competing with the others that chose to participate. I want to use this as a tool to pat each other on the back and just keep our friends active and healthy.

Rules are simple: post anything that you accomplish; physical, mental, or emotional that inspires or lifts you up to feel good about yourself. Simply post whatever tasks you accomplish on the board, and state to the next participant, "What did you do?" to keep someone else motivated to GetReady and push to the next level. It's always nice to have teammates and see what our friends are doing to stay in shape and most of all, stay healthy. This can also be used to get new ideas from each other to prevent boredom in our routines. So get posting and GetReady!!

  5. If I tried out for the airforce I would fail...I scored 50, but I'm proud of me because between running and walking today I did 1.50 miles in about 20 minutes "yea" thats a great accomplishment for me, now if I can just keep that up I would be happy.

  7. I Promise Myself (Today & Every Day)

To be so strong that nothing can disturb my peace of mind.
To talk health, happiness, and prosperity to every person I meet.
To make all my friends feel that there is something worthwhile in them.
To look at the sunny side of everything and make my optimism come true.
To think only of the best, to work only for the best and to expect only the best.
To be just as enthusiastic about the success of others as I am about my own.
To forget the mistakes of the past and press on to the greater achievments of the future.
To wear a cheerful expression at all times and give a smile to every living creature I meet.
To give so much time to improving myselfthat I have no time to criticize others.
To be too large for worry, too noble for anger, too strong for fear, and too happy to permit the presence of trouble.
To think well of myself and to proclaim this fact to the world, not in loud words, but in great deeds.
To live in the faith that the whole world is on my side, so long as I am true to the best that is in me.

  8. I just bench pressed my body weight 15 times on my last set. I've lost 15 pounds since June, and I feel great at 205, but I think I'll feel better walking around at 195.

  11. I fell off my ladder today while cleaning my gutters. My lungs got a really burning workout. I cussed for 10 minutes straight and was out of breath. Not wanting to waste the moment, the second rep consisted of slamming my extention ladder to the ground and kicking it a few times. By that time I needed to replenish my fluids so I cracked the top on a bud.
